Launch of the Asus ROG Phone 6D series featuring the Dimensity 9000+ SoC: Details

The ROG Phone 6D series has been introduced by Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Asus. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate gaming phone and the ROG Phone 6D vanilla model make up the series. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ CPU, the pair has a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. Starting at EUR 949, the Asus ROG Phone 6D series costs about Rs. 75,500 in India.

ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate specs

The Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate smartphones have UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5x RAM. Both have a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 1,080x2,448 pixel resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. On the top of the phones is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

A Mali-G710 GPU and a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC power both of these devices. The pair's triple rear cameras, each with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, share comparable camera characteristics. A 13MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro camera are included. The pair has a front-facing 12MP camera for taking selfies.

Both the Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D provide a 6,000mAh battery with 65W of wired fast charging on the battery front. A fingerprint sensor built into the display, two speakers on the front, and three microphones with ASUS Noise Reduction technology are further features. Upgraded AirTrigger 6 ultrasonic sensors and motions like Dual Action, Press and Lift, and Gyroscope Aiming are features of gaming cellphones.

The Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate has 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. It costs EUR 1,399 (approximately $112,000) to purchase. The two are available in Space Gray colour schemes.
