Google has finally made the most requested feature for Play Store apps available. This feature will make it much easier to determine whether an app will perform properly on your smartphone or not by simply looking at its rating.
With this perplexing feature, Google will only publish reviews from "certified" Google accounts, among other things, so let's go over them below.
As we all know, the Google Play Store is not restricted to smartphones; it also allows other devices, such as tablets, smartwatches, televisions, and even laptops, to download and evaluate apps.
It is also extremely unfair to show all of the reviews and ratings from different devices. Therefore, with this new feature, Google will only show reviews and ratings from the same type of device.
It also stated that ratings would be dependent on the users' location.
For example, the graphic above demonstrates how this new functionality works. Both screenshots are from the Xbox mobile app. The one on the left shows the Pixel 6 ratings and reviews from Google.
The correct one is taken by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. Furthermore, the review numbers for both devices differ, with the Pixel 6 showing "1,469,969 reviews" and the Fold 4 showing only "104,217 reviews."
That's because the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a larger square display than most smartphones, putting it in a separate category than the Pixel 6.
This feature gained attention after a well-known developer, Mishaal Rahman, revealed details about it in a tweet.
Furthermore, as previously stated, Google will display a pop-up in the review section stating that all of the evaluations are from verified Google accounts, where "verified" refers to genuine human users.
Even though the company announced this feature last year, you can now use it on almost every device that supports play services and in almost every place.
